Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ was born on July 22, 1992. She is an American actor, singer, and producer. Gomez began her acting career with the children's show Barney & Friends (2002-2004). When she was a teenager, she became famous in the role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). Gomez was also featured in several films, including Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2010). She also starred in Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers (2012). She also voice actor on Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022). She also serves as executive producer and is a star in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) as well as the Hulu mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2021-present). The singer has been awarded numerous awards, including being named the Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2017. In 2017 she also broke fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named Her one of the top 100 people in the World in 2020. She is a popular social media star and is the most followed musician and actress on Instagram.
