
In the late 1990s in the mid-1990s, Selleck was a cult guest star on Friends. He played Monica Geller, her romantic lover, and earned an Emmy nomination. Selleck was the main character in a number of TV films that came out in the new millennium. They included the Jesse Stone series in which he played the role of a New England police chief. The actor was awarded an Emmy nomination for his performance and also served as the executive producer for the films. Selleck also portrays an officer who is part of a multigenerational group of officers in the drama Blue Bloods which premiered on CBS in 2010.Selleck was eventually able to return to the big screen for the second time. Along with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg he appeared in Three Men and a Baby that was a massively popular comedy. It was the top-grossing film ever.
