Kelly Clarkson, an American singer-songwriter and actress who won the American Idol competition in its debut season, and became America's Sweetheart. Not only was the win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson into the limelight as it also secured her an arrangement to RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. Since then she has made several studio albums. Three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely fell short of the top spot. Her name is among the most successful artists to come out of her participation in the American Idol series. The singer began to play around with themes and music as her success increased. She earned critical acclaim and a number of high-profile awards for her uniqueness as well as her singing talent. Notably, she's received the Grammy Award a record three times. Music isn't her only occupation. She also appears in movies and television programs. She has also written the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in various charities.
