Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American who was born in Miami Florida. She is half English and the other half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home up until she was six years old, and the family relocated into Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move into London was difficult and she did not learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands and then Hill House. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. After 16 she quit school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her an opportunity as a model.
